Attn: Members in Michigan:
Each year, the Regional Russ Mawby Signature Service Projects bring hundreds of AmeriCorps members to various Michigan communities for a day of intensive service. By the end of the day, several projects are completed, visibly demonstrating the power of Michigan's AmeriCorps members in action. The 2015 projects include:
These projects will look different for each region, but they will all highlight the importance of AmeriCorps and national service. For a brief overview of each of the projects, as well as the registration link and point of contact, go to: http://tinyurl.com/2015RMSSP. We hope you can join us to “get things done” for Michigan!
Great news, it looks like you won't need to do the FBI check anymore. HR should have sent you an email about it yesterday, but email me directly at AmeriCorps@thesca.org if you didn't get that email.
Thanks Sofia. I haven't gotten fingerprinted yet. I just sent an email to humanresources@thesca.org asking if I should get them done now and get reimbursed later, or if I should go to a particular fingerprinting service to have them done for free.
Hi Abigail, great question about the fingerprinting cost. You are definitely not responsible for paying for your fingerprints. In fact AmeriCorps does not allow it. If you have been asked to pay for them, you can contact humanresources@thesca.org to request a reimbursement.
Now that AmeriCorps is no longer accepting fingerprints from FieldPrint, are interns responsible for paying the cost to get fingerprinted?

The theme of this year’s White House Student Film Festival is “The Impact of Giving Back.” Let’s show them how national service gives back by flooding them with entries. Don’t forget to submit your entries before the February 2 deadline.
