I wear the polos when I am at the office or dealing with the public in the visitor center, but I wear the quick dry when I am out in the field, and will wear the long slevee out in the field this fall...

I haven't received a badge or a button and I wear all of the different shirt types available :)

@Anna I wouldn't be surprised but lets hope that not the case!

@Anna, I feel ya there I just got my uniforms last week!

Comment by Anna McGee on July 27, 2012 at 11:35am
I haven't recived my uniform yet and my position ends in less than 2 weeks so it's mainly been my own polos and nice tee shirts. My position was on 8 weeks

I have not recieved a AmeriCorps patch or buttom just my SCA patch. How do I go about getting one? I wear the long sleeve shirt most of the time.

Comment by Kate Hagner on July 27, 2012 at 11:26am

Right now if you're an AmeriCorps member at SCA you get an AmeriCorps patch and a button to go with your SCA uniform, but I really want to get the AmeriCorps logo on the SCA shirt instead. If I was going to put the AmeriCorps logo on the sleeve of ONE of the SCA shirts, which one should it be? Which one do you wear most often? I'm leaning toward the quick dry short sleeve shirt... I'd love to hear what you'd actually wear!

Hi all-

I just heard from the AmeriCorps folks in DC that there's been a phishing scam out there targeting AmeriCorps members and alums. Be wary of any emails you get claiming to be from AmeriCorps and offering free gift cards. If you receive one of these emails, delete it without replying, opening any attachments, or clicking any links. If you have further questions or concerns, contact the National Service Help Desk.

Below is an example of a suspicious message sent to a member:

Dear <Name>,

On behalf of Americorps Vista - Volunteers In Service To America you have been issued a $1,000 Visa Gift Card free of charge.

Card type: Visa Gift Card

Issued to: <Name>

Issuing branch: Akron, Ohio

Valid until: 08/2015

Please use the following website to claim your card and have it shipped to the address of your choosing:

Go to: www reward2012 com

Note that claims must be made within 48 hours from this email being sent, or the above link will become invalid.

Sincerely, Rachel

Hi Cristina,

I didn't find any groups for the New York area. If you'd like to start one, hover your mouse over the "Conversations" tab on the banner near the top of the site, then click on the "Groups" link. Toward the top of the next page click on the "Add" icon. You can fill out the necessary information on the next page. Good luck!
