Great read! This is a must for anyone who has ever daydreamed about how a government based on conservation principles and a degrowth economy might function. I heard about this book from an interview with Kate Brown, the very cool current governor of Oregon, who read it in college.

Thanks for sharing! I'm really interested in degrowth economics - hoping to make ecological and degrowth economics my focus in graduate school.

Sure thing! Same here, actually. I recently spoke to someone who suggested "De-growth: A Vocabulary for a New Era" for further reading about the economics aspect. It's next on my list -- maybe you'd be interested in that, too!
