Hello!
My program is at the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in Suffolk, VA. I am curious if anyone here has served in this area and can provide some helpful suggestions for things to do in the area during off-work hours.

Hello everyone! I'm the partnership coordinator for the Tongass National Forest and a proud SCA alumnus, having served in the Forest Service's Alaska Regional Office in the winter of 2010-11. My duties today include providing support and oversight for volunteer and service programs across the Tongass, including SCAs. If you're an SCA intern currently serving on the Tongass, don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns - or great stories!
I'm also happy to talk with any SCA intern about strategies for making the jump from intern to career employee. It's never easy and there are no guarantees, but there's a very good reason that you'll find SCA alums everywhere in land management agencies.
Hey!! I am doing my first SCA internship in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I am heading out in 6 days and am very excited!! Has anyone been out there? Worked with the people out there? Any suggestions on things to check out/do in my free time?
