Does all this snow have you yearning for a day on the beach? Here's your opportunity! Join SCA for a service event at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and help in the continuing storm recovery effort.
WHEN: Saturday, February 15th, 9:30am-2:00pm
WHERE: Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, Queens. (SCA will provide a free shuttle bus at 9:00am from Brooklyn College.)
WHAT: Clearing debris from the beach, pruning overgrown vegetation, & laying groundwork for a new wheelchair-accessible trail.
BRING WITH YOU: Wear warm layers and sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
PROVIDED: SCA will provide breakfast and lunch for volunteers as well as work gloves, SCA water bottles (to take home), and all project supplies.
