Brraaaaiiinnnnssss!

Yes, Brains, as in brain tanning.  I took a workshop over the fall where we spent the whole weekend learning how to tan deer hides. Now I am completely addicted. Unfortunately I do not hunt, which makes finding a nice deer hide to work with a little tough. Luckily I have a wonderful girlfriend who got me a deer hide for Christmas. I guess you can say that I hit the jack pot with her because I do not know too many people who would go out of their way to find dead things for their significant…

New Beginnings

Let’s start with the basics. I am currently residing in the beautiful Bear Brook State Park, located in Allenstwon, New Hampshire. It is about 10,000 acres, which is a decent sized backyard to play in. In the winter it is closed except for hiking and snowmobiling, so we mostly have it to ourselves, but in the spring and summer the park is opened as a campground (hint, hint, if anyone wants to visit).
