A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step...

Tomorrow I begin the drive from New Jersey to Arches National Park and could not be more excited! I would have never thought that my summer plans this year would include this amazing opportunity and am beyond grateful.

It's an interesting feeling embarking on this adventure. The nervousness quickly has turned to excitement and almost an itch to get started. I cannot wait to learn absolutely everything I can, work with great people, and find ways to apply what I have learned so far in my graduate program to my internship. I find myself thinking of how much I am going to experience, but I have a feeling its so much more than I can imagine. I am proud to be representing SCA this summer and I am more than ready for this, here...we...go...

Wow that's wonderful!! I had the best time in UTAH this past April. Moab was definitely lovely and you'll feel at home in about three days. The 40 minutes drive up to Arches National Park will feel like a breeze and the sights are definitely head turners. When you get a break from your internship, you should visit the other national parks, Natural Bridges, Zion, Bryce and Canyonlands. It's funny, I found out about the SCA when I visited Natural Bridges and met one of the interns, Sarah. While in Moab, you should grab a steak at Sunset Grill and if you need some gear, visit Gearheads. Have a wonderful adventure and take lots of pictures.
